In year 1984, May Banh emigrated from Vietnam to Canada and joined Edmonton's Chinese Opera Society in 1994. Having recently retired, Banh specializes in singing, but recently has developed an expertise in acting as well Banh's versatility enables her to sing in different vocal ranges, allowing her to play both male and female character. In 2004 she performed at the 4th Annual Guangzhou International Cantonese Opera Festival. In 2006, Banh have post training by Master Da Wei Chen and Master Fei Yun Zhong for femal characters, And have a very successful performance in recently years. Year 2006 Banh officially founded ICPA, with the hopes of passing on the art of Chinese Opera onto the next generation of Canadians.

Della Lam
As one of the Founders of the Sound of Opera Society, Della has enjoyed singing since a very young age. In 1986, Della arrived to Canada from Vietnam. She frequently volunteers in a variety of fund raising events, charities, and opera stage shows and specializes as a percussionist. Della's dream is to introduce Chinese opera into the Canadian culture and share this unique art form with all nationalities.

Wendy Wu
Wendy started practising Cantonese opera in Edmonton with the show Mystery of Imperial Decanter in 2006. She has since had a few successful performances. As a member of Hua Yi Student Association, and with her gymnastic background, she continues to study the art and learn both male and female roles. Wendy became a member of ICPA in 2007 and took on the role of Assistant Instructor. She is proud of the vast interest and improvements that young ICPA students have demonstrated through practice and performances. Wendy currently works for Industry Canada in the profession of emergency telecommunication management.

Simon Tse
Simon had participated in the Sound of Opera Society's performances in 2004 with great success. Although still in amateur status, he has shown his natural talent in opera performances phenomenally and has since then created great responses from the audience. Simon is truly a rare talent and ICPA is thrilled to have him on the team.

Kim Diep
Kim is a mechanic by profession and immigrated to Canada in 1978. Consistently bringing his mechanical and constructional skills to the forefront, Kim has selflessly volunteered at numerous events and has been an avid admirer of Chinese Opera since his childhood.

Trannie Thai
Trannie joined to Sound of Opera Society in 1994; an ardent fan of the art of Cantonese opera, she had participated in all performances and fund raising activities organized by the Society. Other than singing, she had assumed lead roles in two excerpts from famous operas.
